Year 4 set off on their trip this morning to Hillsborough Castle Gardens for a minibeast hunt. The weather was amazing and everyone had a fabulous time. When we arrived we had our break outside then we went to find some bugs! We found lots of different minibeasts and also learnt some interesting facts about invertebrates. We looked at pond critters through magnifying glasses, caught flying minibeasts in nets and used magnifying pots to examine the bugs that liked to live under the logs! Then it was time for lunch, which was a picnic outside. We even got time to play before returning to school. A brilliant trip with a super class.
